ISODRY OC V-3 glove box is designed for the inspection and handling of hazardous substances from the production process to include manual filling of vials etc. The isolator allows for working under a negative pressure environment as a standalone operation.
The Isolation glove box can also be connected with other specialist machines (e.g. Lyo) as long as this operation is carried out as per manufacturer’s instructions. The add on chamber volume is not to exceed 0.3 m3.
The machine allows the user to carry out all necessary controls and/or operation in total atmospheric isolation, before entering into the given working environment.
The mobile part of the machine, also called “Inspection Chamber”, is where the system plants are installed.
The chamber is cube shaped with rounded corners, 20mm radius angles for easy cleaning and drying operations. It is made of 2mm thick polished AISI 316L stainless steel forming its frame. Components have been assembled with a continuous welding method using argon fluxing.
The chamber is fitted with a lighting system to give the operator optimal visual conditions.
On the user’s side a 12 mm thick polycarbonate door is fitted with gloves to allow the inspection & working of materials entering the chamber.
The upper side is fitted with the push-push filter housing.
The bottom of the chamber is made of AISI 304 stainless steel equipped with a waste system fitting, nominally a 2’’ aseptic tank bottom self-drain valve. This is designed to collect water after any sanitisation operation.
The machine is equipped with a flange system that allows OC S.r.l to make a match with any auxiliary equipment to the clients specification. The side flange is fitted with platinum silicone gaskets housed in grooves to allow a vacuum match with the auxiliary unit as necessary.
Constant depressurisation of the chamber is assured by utilising a fan unit that directs the intake and extract air through specialist HEPA filtration at all duct points. Replacement of the filters can be carried out internally to isolate any hazardous materials escaping to atmosphere.
Both positive and negative pressurisation can be automatically monitored and controlled by a simple differential pressure switch externally.
